Tom Clancy's Elite Squad will be released globally to Android e iOS on the 27th of August. The game is currently in pre-registration.
Announced at E3 2019, Tom Clancy's Elite Squad has the potential to be one of the biggest flops of 2020. Especially after all the controversy surrounding AreaF2.
Tom Clancy's Elite Squad is perhaps a bigger disappointment than Tom Clancy's ShadowBreak, a game released in 2018 that was forgotten a year later.
Next: with the cancellation of the game that was intended to be a “Rainbow Six Mobile”, fans of franchises linked to Tom Clancy's want anything but an “Online RPG / gacha game”. And it looks like that's exactly what Ubisoft wants with Tom Clancy's Elite Squad.
The game doesn't look that bad, however, it may be one of Ubisoft's worst failures, as it was released at a bad time.
Tom Clancy's Elite Squad is sure to capture app store searches for a “Rainbow Six” and will return a “gacha game”. With the success and sudden disappearance of AreaF2, don't blame it if the game appears with negative notes for nothing.
But if you were about to give up on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six on mobile, don't worry, there's still hope, see here.
