The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War is a strategy game being developed by NetEase in partnership with Warner Bros. The game is already in the tests on Google Play countries like Australia and the Philippines.
The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War, or most likely, "Lord of the Rings: The Rise of War" seems to be thought to warm up the franchise for the debut of Amazon's new series and for console games arriving in 2021.
Based on the work of JRR Tolkien, the new title is a strategy game very similar to those that already exist on mobile (Dawn of Titan). Its big difference is when we activate the “Commanders”. Iconic characters from the franchise, modeled to look like the actors who starred in the original trilogy of films directed by Peter Jackson are available. It will be possible to unlock characters such as Aragorn, Gandalf (in two forms), Éowyn, Saruman, Faramir, Legolas, Gimli and many others. Each character has a skill tree to conquer.

Both the visuals and the gameplay are very pleasing. The game is reminiscent of PC strategy games and comes out a little bit of what many people expect, which would be another clone of Clash of Clans or Game of War. However, nothing comes without a “cost”.
Although it bets on the strategy genre, and this genre usually has very light games on mobile, the same won't happen with The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War. The game will be relatively "heavy". To play the game on Android you will need at least a smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, Samsung Exynos 8890 and at least 3 GB of RAM.
For now, there is still no release date for The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War. The game is slated to be released on Android and iOS.
