Now you can play the famous Tetris mini-game on your Android. The experience is pretty much the same, but there's a difference, the game is free.
It's a simple and casual game, a true gift from the gaming world. Tetris is one of the most addictive games of all time, the mini-games version helped to spread the game in places where people never dreamed of having a video game.
If there's one game I suspect is the most played in the world without anyone knowing, it's Tetris. The game created in the USSR in the middle of the Cold War, practically became a “genre”, influencing an entire generation of gamers and creative minds. Bordering on simplicity, there is no narrative, characters or text. And only you controlling black blocks looking for the maximum score.
The conversion is nice and fun, mainly because of the impact the mini-games had in third world countries like Spain. Does everyone know Tetris because of the Game Boy and Nintendo 8 bits? you can bet not.
There are just a few minor problems with this reimagining of Tetris. On small screens, the “mini-game” has the buttons too close together, which results in accidental touches. Another point to note, but that doesn't interfere much, is that the game constantly displays an advertising banner when playing with the Internet on.
