Recently, Henrik Rydgård, the developer behind the Sony PSP portable emulator, PPSSPP, decided to remove the free version of the emulator from Google Play. In the Google app store only the paid version remains, PPSSPP Gold.

And now? This changes very little as it is always possible to download the latest version of the emulator directly from the official website. The paid version and the free version don't have any big difference. The payment only serves as support for the project.

According to the website itself, the app will be temporarily out of Google Play, but it may come back soon.

PPSSPP is the most successful emulator on Android. On basic devices it is possible to emulate many games. On top of the line smartphones, the emulation is almost perfect, with many games running at 60 fps.
