Is one of the biggest “novels” of mobile games coming to an end?
For those who don't remember, Payday Crime War was first announced in 2016. After more than 5 years of development, studio changes and source code sales, the game will have a new round of testing in December.
The game that was once owned by Overkill Software and now in PopReach's hands has been thoroughly tested over the years. After a low-key launch in 2019, Crime War wrapped up later that year.
In the middle of 2021, after selling the source code for “only” US$ 250, around R$ 1.3 million reais, Payday Crime War will have a new chance to show its potential.
Honestly, it's a game that deserves that chance. In all versions and tests so far, Payday Crime War only contained the "death-death" mode, which is the simplest mode in the game.
The heist mode, the real reason players are interested in this game, was never available. I hope PopReach makes this mode available soon with good mechanics and a focus on fun.
Payday Crime War will be in closed beta testing starting December 6th.
