Until yesterday, no one really knew what the new game in the Nier franchise would look like. But the wait is over. NieR Re[in]carnation is in beta testing on Android and iOS in Japan and the first gameplay videos are already appearing.
NieR Re[in]carnation is an RPG that will bring you semi-automatic combat and a vast world to explore. The game is free-to-play and has microtransactions, but the focus on narrative seems so good that you can even overlook these “flaws” of the “modern world”.
The story takes place inside cages (檻), a series of towers and dungeons, sometime in the future. When entering battles we control other characters from the NieR franchise such as the popular A2.
