New Metal Slug games for mobile still in 2020

In a post on the website Inven, the CEO of SNK Interactive reveals that they are developing a new Metal Slug for mobile phones. And more! The game is “80% complete”.

Planned for Android and iOS, it is said to be side scrolling, but with cardgame elements. Jeon Se-hwan, CEO of SNK Interactive, says the new game will target players of all ages: 10, 20, 30 to 40 years old.

In the article for the Inven website, a report is also cited that includes other game under development by Timi Studio (Tencent). Then will be two new Metal Slug games. It may be that Tencent's new game is in the same style as Contra Returns.

Both games are scheduled to be released in 2020 with versions for Android and iOS.

It's not the first time this beloved arcade and Neo Geo franchise has come to mobile. There is a vast list of Metal Slug games for mobile, including classics remastered for the platform.
