After years of partnering with NetMarble, Kabam and Gameloft, this time Marvel is going to make an alliance with NetEase. The partnership will go far beyond developing new mobile games and, according to reports, will even be for the production of TV series.
“Having admired the work that Marvel has created over the years, we are excited to incorporate these lively stories and characters into world-class entertainment content.” said William ding, founder and CEO of NetEase. "Adding to NetEase's trademark and our 'Passion for Gamers', we will work hard to deliver the kind of high quality content that Marvel gamers and fans will be proud to see."
"Marvel's superheroes have inspired an entire universe of storytelling that resonates in today's media - and games are one of the best ways to experience those stories," added Dan Buckley, president of Marvel Entertainment. “As a global leader in online gaming, NetEase is the perfect partner to help bring the Marvel Universe to more fans around the world. We can’t wait to share more about the exciting new games and other content that will be developed in this partnership.”
NetEase really has it all. It's the studio that converts projects into amazing games in record time. Last year, the producer closed an important partnership with Blizzard to develop a mobile version of Diablo.
What games will NetEase launch with Marvel? Can we expect something like Marvel Alliance 3 on Nintendo Switch?
