Mario Kart Tour gets online battle mode

O game mobile Mario Kart Tour, has already been the subject of several controversies, but continues to improve every day. This week, the Nintendo game for Android and iOS got an addict battle mode.

In this mode, similar to the battle mode of the console versions, players will face off in arenas. Each kart has 3 balloons, the player must protect and fire items at opponents' balloons.

At launch, Mario Kart Tour will feature remakes of Battle Course 1 (Mario Kart: GBA's Super Circuit) and Cookie Land (Game Cube's Mario Kart: Double Dash) arenas.

    Update notes:

・ Preparations for battles have been made, a new way to play.*

・ Preparations have been made for the highlight shop, where you can exchange rubies for pilots and more.*

・ Now the best all-time score you get on each track will be recorded.

・ It is now possible to start playing on the next track directly from the race results screen.

*These news will be available in future seasons.

    Removing roulettes and random purchases

In addition to the new mode, in case you haven't seen it, Nintendo committed in September to removing roulette wheels from the game. Mario Kart Tour will now have a shop where you buy items directly, not chances to get an item like many companies do with chests and shards.

Despite not being up to par with its video game versions, Mario Kart Tour is an excellent free racing game that lets you experience a little of what would be Mario Kart 8 on mobile phones. The game is free to download and play and has modes to play with the screen “standing” (portrait) or “lying down” (landscape).
