The tour of the Knives Out producers in Japan has yielded unusual partnerships. After announcing that the director of the Battle Royale movie (which inspired the whole thing) would contribute to the game's "lore", NetEase confirms a content partnership for the Attack on Titan anime and manga.
In August, Knives Out will get clothes and characters taken directly from the anime. In September, a new map called “Final Battle of Tokyo (东京决战)” in Shibuya will be released.
This onslaught on Japanese content has an explanation. Knives Out was a huge success in Japan. Much of NetEase's revenue came from the Japanese App Store. But it would be nice if some of this content also came to the west.
