Available on mobile only for iOS, via Apple Arcade, The Pathless is an immersive, fast-paced adventure from the same Abzû studio. On the App Store, the game was published by Annapurna Interactive, the same as Florence and Gorogoa.
And what about The Pathless? The game is like a fast-paced Shadow of the Colossus where you can walk freely or run and glide at full speed. To explore the locations, you need to shoot the waypoints, which increases your speed. Don't worry about being precise, Pathless's control requires timing, not precision.
Not so pretty on iOS
The player must seek out and restore corrupted spirits in awesome battles. The Pathless looks great on PS5 and PC, but on iOS, you can see that there were some sacrifices to run at an acceptable framerate. Grass rendering quality was limited, we missed some lighting effects, and the frame rate is at 30 FPS on most devices.
Although it has sacrificed much of its visuals, The Pathless retains all the content of the PlayStation 5 version. An incredible adventure that rivals oceanhorn 2 as another “exclusive” to make iOS envy.
The Pathless is about 7 to 10 hours long, not much for a console, but excellent for a mobile game. Gamers can spend up to 10+ hours exploring all the maps and trying to get all the game's secrets.
