Genshin impact surpassed 17 millions of downloads in the first 4 days of its release, only on mobile. That's what app review site App Annie points out. According to analyst Daniel Ahmad, more than $50 million dollars in the game (about R$ 279 million reais).
Alone, the number of 17 million downloads doesn't seem like much compared to other market giants, such as Free Fire and PUBG. But it's worth remembering that Genshin Impact only works on intermediate (really) or top-of-the-line devices. Downloads on PC and PlayStation 4 were not counted.
This huge initial acceptance means the game is already a most successful mobile game at launch in Asia and the US in October. Speaking to IGN, Daniel Ahmad, a senior analyst at Niko Partners, estimates that the game took in $50 million in its first week, with most of that revenue coming from China, Japan and the United States.
“The game had over 20 million pre-registrations before launch, of which over 5 million were from outside China,” explains Ahmad. “This is a great achievement not only for a game developed in China, but also for a new original IP.”
With impressive visuals and all subtitles in Spanish, Genshin Impact impresses with an open world with complete freedom of exploration and an experience that is very reminiscent of a single player game. The game does not have automatic modes and no button for automatic combat, everything is "manual".
It is worth remembering that Genshin Impact is a “gacha” game where to get a good character, the player needs to pay or play a lot. But for sure to put the best characters at the maximum level, you have to spend a lot of money (a lot).
