Gameloft is venturing once again with the Gangstar series, this time in New York City, also known as the Big Apple. But unlike the other games in the saga, Gangstar: New York went into testing on PC via Steam, being the first of them present in the Valve store.
Still no release date, Gangstar: New York will follow the same footprint as its predecessors. The game has been available to claim access to the alpha test on Steam since last Wednesday (24), and is expected to arrive on Android and iOS devices.
Gameloft's newest Sandbox offers players several features, from running, driving, jumping and of course, stealing. All this to reach the top and become the real crime bosses in a New York with a little more futuristic air. Check out a gameplay from the Techzamazing channel below:
The game features a co-op multiplayer mode with up to 10 people to work together and leave their mark on the Big Apple. Despite Gangstar: New York being the first game via Steam in the franchise, Gangstar: New Orleans, another game in the series, has already appeared on PC, however, via the Microsoft Store.
The game that takes place in the city of New Orleans is currently free on the Microsoft Store, and it is very likely that the newest title that takes place in NY will also be available for free. In addition to them we had the most famous game in the series, Gangstar Vegas, being an alternative way for GTA fans to experience games like these on mobile (and now PC).
It is also not the first time that Gameloft has published a game on Steam, with 8 other titles already released on the virtual store. It's worth noting that all of these games have average ratings on Valve's store, which can make things a little more delicate for the new Gangstar: NY for PC.
The alpha test of the game is available for free and requires approximately 3.7GB of available storage. The minimum and recommended requirements for Gangstar: New York have also been revealed and they might be scary.
To play the new game in your setup you will need at least a Windows 10 system, i5-8400/Ryzen 5 2600, 12GB of RAM, a GTX-1060 video card, DirectX v.12, in addition to 5GB available on the machine. Already in the recommended, your PC needs to have the same system, an i7-4790/Ryzen 7 2700X processor, 16GB of RAM in addition to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060.
It is still not known for sure about tests on mobile devices, especially when we talk about the release date as it is still an unknown on PC. Requirements for mobile were also not disclosed.
