Gameloft removes Backstab, Zombie Infection and other classics from the App Store

A Gameloft removed from the App Store several games considered classics of smartphone games. For no apparent reason, they disappeared from the App Store: Backstab, Zombie Infection, NOVA (1 e 2) , Sacred Odyssey, Dungeon Hunter (1 e 2), Splinter Cell Conviction e Shadow Guardian.

It's not the first time this has happened (see here) and it's not the first time a company has removed old games from the App Store and Google Play. It's sad to see how our market is volatile and companies don't respect the “fan base” of each game. Especially from the NOVA series, one makes Gameloft's best.

Several of these games have been reviewed here on the blog, such as the classic Zombie infection. Amazing that, like all this zombie fever, Gameloft didn't release a second version for new smartphones and tablets.

Last year Asphalt 5 had disappeared from the App Store and Google Play. Now, it remains for these classics to survive through clandestineness or whoever has the game saved on some hard drive.
