According to data from the Sensor Tower website, Free Fire is the most downloaded mobile game of 2020. In the first nine months of this year, Garena's game was downloaded 220 million times. PUBG Mobile is in second place in this ranking and Subway Surfers in third. See the list.
Despite ultra-casual (and viral) games making the kids head, in 2020, Free Fire maintained its hegemony as the most downloaded game in several countries. However, it is not the most profitable game of 2020 so far.
PUBG Mobile is the most profitable game to date, billing $2 billion dollars (R$ 11 billion reais) in 2020 alone. But these numbers include its Chinese version, “Game for Peace”. Honor of Kings, Chinese version of Arena of Valor, is the second most profitable so far. Impressively, Pokémon GO ranks third. The Niantic game made over $1 billion dollars in 2020 alone.
This is relevant information for anyone who thought the Free Fire phenomenon was a passing fad. With no signs that it will pass, the Battle Royale fever, it seems, will enter the year 2021 with full force.
