    Free Fire becomes a film (short film) with famous Indonesian actor

    A Garena partnered with the director Timo Tjajanto and the action star Joe Taslim for an adaptation for the short film of the game Free Fire. The film's arrival coincides with the launch of the latest Free Fire character, Jota, inspired by Taslim himself.

    It's just 7 minutes of frantic action in "Jota VS Dewi Dangdut“. Check it out in the video below.

    The clip highlights the new character's abilities. Free Fire fans will recognize the fight between Joe and Andrew. There are also several skins, and other characters from the game.

    This short film could serve as a script for a feature film adaptation, and it's cool to see Taslim and Tjahjanto get back to work after being together on Netflix's "The Night Comes for Us." With the short film already racking up over 2 million views on YouTube, we may be able to see similar promotional content in the future.

    Taslim was once a member of Indonesia's national judo team, before starting a career as an actor. He has starred in Hollywood hits like Star Trek Beyond e Fast & Furious 6, plus two of the best action movies in recent memory: The Raid and the already mentioned The Night Comes for Us. The short's Actor will play Sub-Zero in the upcoming film adaptation of Mortal Kombat.
