Ever since Fortnite arrived on mobile, one of my biggest complaints was the lack of a no-build mode in the game. It already exists in other minigames within the game, but now it looks like Epic wants to make a main mode without buildings.
Those who play on mobile know how difficult it is to compete with other players from other platforms in Fortnite's main mode.
Playing shooting games and competing with PC players is hard enough, and in Fortnite it's almost a "David vs Goliath".
The most common thing to happen is you hit the first shot and the opponent builds a Dubai in seconds in front of you.

But it looks like that is about to change.
According to a Twitter user Hypex known for leaking Fortnite news, Epic is planning a new mode that will be in the same style as Battle Royale, but without buildings.

Apparently, it will be a mode in the same style as other events that already happen in the game, called “Limited Time Mode”. In this mode, which is a Battle Royale, the game rules and some mechanics change during the game.
There is no guarantee that this mode would last for a significant amount of time. Time-limited modes are, by their very nature, brief, and while they can serve as a test case for lasting change, this is not always the case. It's also always a possibility that while there's some "No Build" mode in development by Epic, it could be that it won't see the light of day and that it just leaked some unused mode.
