announced last week, Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness won its first trailer today (18). Based on the nostalgic Mega Drive RPG franchise, the new mobile game will be an RPG strategy game with beautiful hand-drawn art.
Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness is being developed by Korean studio HIVE (a subsidiary of Korean studio Vespa) in partnership with SEGA.
The story of the new Shining Force takes place a thousand years after the first game. Despite this, the characters are new versions of the characters that inhabited the Mega Drive game. During combats they have a “Super Deformed (SD)” format, but at the time of action a beautiful animation appears on the screen.

https://youtu.be/EZHqyrLjerwAccording to the Vespa studio, they hope the game will be an “SRPG masterpiece” that will satisfy both new Shining Force players and longtime fans of the JRPG series. While this is HIVE's first project, they will no doubt have assistance from Vespa's HQ team in Korea.
For now, it looks like Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness will release in Korea first and Japan first.
Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness will only be released in 2022.
