Square Enix has confirmed the release window for its most anticipated mobile game. Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will be released in September 2022. However, that date may be for the Japanese version of the game.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a mobile game that condenses the original PS1 game as well as additional titles from the Final Fantasy VII extended universe. Players relive parts of games like Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII with a new visual style on their mobile phones. Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII will be the game's first official English localization.
According to a financial report from CyberAgent, the game will be released before the end of the fiscal year. However, there is no further information about the release date. So far, only one projected release window has been confirmed.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is a reimagining of the saga seen in FF7. The new mobile game will walk through various scenarios, history and scenes of this great saga of games. According to Tetsuya Nomura, the title is a collection of these games. The game will "gather events" from each game within the Final Fantasy VII universe.
Ever Crisis will feature free-to-play story chapters. Most likely it will be a gacha game. This includes the distribution of weapons. Each weapon will have its own unique tricks. There are also potential plans to distribute skins through this same system.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will release on Android and iOS devices sometime in September 2022.
