Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster: Mobile version stays for 2022 too

Square Enix has decided to delay the sixth Final Fantasy remaster game to 2022. Previously promised for 2021, Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster It will only be released next year. With this, the versions for Android and iOS will also be delayed and released along with the PC and consoles.

Through Twitter, the company posted the news and stated that the game will only arrive in February 2022.

But if it's any consolation, there was no more time to release the remaster. It is worth remembering that app stores go into recess and accept new games only in 2022.

According to Square Enix, the game was also delayed for extra polish and to offer the best experience possible.

For us Spaniards, the great interest in Pixel Remaster is in the official translation, something that has never been released before in the franchise. However, the price of the mobile versions is quite high, around R$ 99 reais.

    About Final Fantasy VI

Final Fantasy VI is the sixth game in the main Final Fantasy series, developed and published by Squaresoft. It was released in April 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in Japan, and released as Final Fantasy III in North America in October 1994 (with changes made due to Nintendo of America guidelines at the time).

It was later re-released worldwide as Final Fantasy VI for PlayStation, Game Boy Advance, iOS, Android, and Microsoft Windows platforms, with re-releases making changes including modified graphics and additional content.

FFIV was co-directed by Yoshinori Kitase and Hiroyuki Itou, replacing Hironobu Sakaguchi, with Nobuo Uematsu composing the score and Yoshitaka Amano providing the image design. It was the final title in the series to feature two-dimensional graphics and the first story not centered around crystals.

FFVI focuses on a conflict between the Gestahlian Empire conquering the world and a rebel faction opposing them known as the Returners. By mixing magic with science in a steampunk world, FFVI already brought several elements that would be reincarnated in other games in the franchise such as FFVII and FFVIII. The Empire gained great power from captured espers, legendary magical creatures. The Returners seek magical power to fight the Empire on equal terms, and a former Imperial soldier, Terra Branford, is the key for both sides to understand magic and espers.
