EGG NS: Nintendo Switch Emulator for Android is now on Google Play

It is now available for download at Google Play o Nintendo Switch emulator EGG NS. The controversial emulator for Android arrives maintaining its peculiar features such as internet connection requirement and monthly fee to play.

Emulator has been available on its official website since 2020. With the launch on Google Play, the EGG NS team hopes to reach a much wider audience, while also trying to eradicate imposters who try to impersonate the emulator on Google Play.

Wait there? Do you need to pay to play?

EGG NS is a different emulator. It's not enough to just download the emulator and then download the games, you have to pay a monthly fee to play. The only caveat is if you have a GameSir X2 or X3 controller, in which case you can play without paying anything. However, you still need to have internet available to play.

The emulator download page on Google Play reports that it is even compatible with AAA games like Super Mario Odyssey, NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and even The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Of all these only Breath of the Wild is not completely true. BotW runs at only 15 FPS and crashes after a while. The others run very well if you own a smartphone with at least Snapdragon 855 onwards.

It is worth remembering that the emulator does not run some games at all, such as Mario Kart 8. The reason for this is the fact that the emulator does not support some 32-bit games.

Does the emulator come complete? How to play Nintendo Switch on Android phone?

Despite being available on Google Play, the EGG NS does not come complete.

The emulator comes equipped only with its “interpreter”. It is still necessary to dump the system and download the game keys. However, the EGG NS website itself already provides a file with all this, called Switchdroid. Only by downloading Switchdroid, and unzipping it in the emulator folder, it will be possible to emulate the downloaded games.

It is also possible to use the APK provided by the official website of the emulator, EGG NS Installer, in case you do not want to download the folder Switchdroid.

The format of games to download or extract from your cards must be XCI or NSP and must be placed in the folder to be scanned by the emulator.
