Dustoff 2 resembles classic SNES helicopter game

Dustoff Heli Rescue 2 is a game inspired by the classic chopper game Choplifter III. Available on Google Play, the game is offline and very easy to play.

Everyone who had a Super Nintendo (SNES) in the 90s probably had contact with a famous “8 in 1 tape”. Among established games such as Top Gear, Super Mario World and others, there was Choplifter III, a war helicopter game that will become a classic.

Choplifter III producer Beam Software doesn't even exist anymore (it ended in 2000), so all we can hope for is a spiritual successor, and it's here and it's called Dustoff 2.

The missions are very similar to those in Choplifter III. Control an army helicopter and participate in missions to rescue allies and shoot enemies.

    – “Minecraft” graphics

Dustoff 2's visual choice delivers 3D graphics that don't "weigh" any cell phone. Dustoff 2 runs even on phones with 1GB of RAM.

The "Minecraft" style isometric pixel graphics are quite fun and some animations make for a good laugh. Like seeing enemies fleeing after you blow up their car or tank.

    – Different controls but easy to learn

Dustoff 2's controls are presented in a short tutorial. The commands are not very common, but in a few seconds, we get the hang of the game. Basically, we just control the helicopter and it fires automatically.

It might seem a little silly at first, but trust me, as time goes on, you'll be grateful that the shot is automatic. In some stages, you have to dodge bullets and missiles that come in droves, and on top of that, you have to land under enemy fire.

    – Classic and offline fun

Dustoff 2 (and also the first Dustoff Heli Rescue game) does not require an internet connection. The game has a simple proposal to deliver simple and direct fun. You can even beat the game without using the internet once.

The web connection is presented as a facilitator only. Through it, you will earn more coins by displaying ads.

    - Conclusion

Dustoff 2 reminded me a lot of Choplifter III. An unpretentious but very fun game. Its “spiritual successor” has the same proposal. There are 40 challenging stages that will require all your skill as a pilot.
