end of the novel Diablo Immortal. One of the most time-consuming and most troubled development games in the history of mobile games, will be released globally on June 2nd. The title will have versions for Android, iOS and PC.
Controversies aside, the pre-registration of the game was a success. Diablo Immortal has more than 30 million people interested in playing on day 1 of its launch.
“The demons of Burning Hell are ready for the slaughter in the largest game Blizzard has ever released in the Diablo franchise,” said Mike Ybarra, president of Blizzard Entertainment. “As this is Blizzard's first game built from the ground up for mobile devices, it was important to deliver an experience worthy of the franchise. So we've done a lot of testing, incorporated a lot of feedback, and created a game that we're really excited to share with players. We’re excited to release this epic new title in the Diablo franchise, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to Sanctuary.”
Diablo Immortal will have 6 classes (Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer or Arcanist). Players will venture into 8 unique zones accessible through the great city of Westmarch. The game's combat is hack'n slash and to the general relief of the gamer nation, it doesn't have automatic combats.

Is Diablo Immortal worth playing?
The long-awaited RPG for mobile phones suffered a lot due to numerous delays. Announced in 2018, it spawned one of the strangest moments in modern video game history.
Rolled up to the purchase of Activision by Microsoft. The latter, surely must have taken steps for the game to be released as soon as possible.
There's nothing more to look forward to. From last year's beta, it was already clear that the game was fully ready, just waiting for a good release window.
Diablo Immortal took so long, but so long, that several games were inspired to try to surf the hype of the game. There was even a game that was born and died before Diablo Immortal saw the light of the sun, or rather the darkness of darkness.
But the question remains: is it worth playing?
As it is a free game (free to play) this is a bit of a rhetorical question. Usually, when a person asks this question, they want to know if it's worth dedicating time and money to the game, and if in the end, there won't be that bitter taste that they're paying too much or spending too many hours farming too little. As this is a “game as a service”, this is something we will know after months of live servers.
