Originally announced for the Nintendo Switch, Chocobo GP is a racing simulator game bringing the Final Fantasy universe to the kart tracks. The game is very similar to the Mario Kart series, but no, this is not the case with ChocoboGP for mobile devices.
Developed and published by Square Enix itself, the mobile version of ChocoboGP' escapes from that 3D racing game we saw, coming to mobile devices as a 2D platform racing game.
We have two main buttons, one to move to the right and the other to move to the left. The main objective of the game is to complete the tasks in each stage, collect coins to boost and customize your skates and make the best possible time, competing for your time with other players from all over the world.
This time dispute is done through the global leaderboards available in the Google Play Games app. Another outstanding function of the platform game is the ghosts, which is like playing against other players, however, from other races, this means that it is not a real-time dispute.
Square also has a small setting, where the Chocobo characters and their faithful moogle partner, Atla, are in search of treasure. However, the treasure has been stolen by a strange and shadowy figure, forcing Chocobo to put on his skates and look beautiful after what's his.
The game did not have the best of receptions abroad, garnering an average rating of 2.9/5 stars on the Apple store and a two-star review on Google Play US.
ChocoboGP' (Mobile) is free and requires 108MB available for installation and Android 6.0 system. On iOS, you will need 236,8MB available on your device in addition to a system with iOS 11.0 or higher. You can download it from both the App Store and Google Play.
