Best Mobile Games – January 2022

The year 2022 started in full swing and in the month of January we already had a demonstration of what is to come.

Check out some of the best games for android and ios launched at the beginning of 2022....

2022 games, released for real, see? Games that are already in the app stores in Spain!

The only caveat here is if it's the re-release of a game.

The purpose of this type of list is to show the best that was released each month, because that has nothing to do with putting all kinds of random games, for that, we have other lists here on the channel.

At the end of the article as a reference, you can check the new games that are or were in beta testing or early release in January 2022.

    Video content:

    Tower Hunter: Erza's Trial

Tower Hunter: Erza's Trial is a 2D action game released on PC in 2019 and arrived on mobile in January 2022.

Created by the small studio IceSitruuna, this game usually goes under the radar of traditional media.

The reason for this is obvious, Tower Hunter follows the Roguelike / Metroidvania recipe that has already been extensively explored in other games (including mobile).

The game is about 8 hours long and the exploration is not as rich as in Dead Cells and BloodStained.

The attractive part lies in the fact that it's another good offline game to beat on mobile.

Take it easy with this one, no hype.

    Yu Gi Oh! Master Duel

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is the ideal card game for those looking to have the same experience as the real-world Trading Card Game

It's the same card game, but now on mobile.

The game has not only PvP mode, there are story modes with various types of decks.

According to Konami it has offline mode too, but so far I haven't found it here.

It's the same game on consoles and PC, so you can be sure you'll get the same experience.

Undoubtedly a great addition to mobile, Master Duel still has cross play across all platforms.

    Lost Light

After a beta test that started timidly in Spain and then was extended to the rest of the world, this is practically the launch of Lost Light.

NetEase's game tries to be "Escape from Tarkov Mobile".

It doesn't quite hit, but it comes close.

For those who don't know, in this type of game, the player collects resources and must go to the exit zone before being shot down.

On the way, you can pack some opponents.

The difference here is the loot. In addition to it being saved for the next match, ammo is quite scarce.

The game starts shyly with the action taking place in an enclosed space, but then the map opens. The explanation of combat mechanics is very intuitive.

Lost Light looks like a game in a good direction, let's see if NetEase doesn't shit everything by abandoning the game like it does with the 99 Battle Royales it has.

    Where's Samantha?

Where's Samantha? is a game for Nintendo Switch that has just been released for mobile.

In this adorable indie game, we see the story of a piece of wool that has lost its companion.

The genre is 2D platform, with a very cute look and that refers directly to clothing fabrics.

There are 45 very linear stages with puzzles at times.

Nice game that is free to test on mobile. However, take it easy as the scenarios are a little repetitive.

    Sonic at Olympics Games 2020

Speaking of repetition, calm down, breathe, no we are not stuck in 2020.

It sounds bizarre, but it really happened,

SEGA re-released Sonic at Olympics Games in 2022.

The relaunch came to try to gain some visibility after the timid launch in 2021.

The 2021 version pretended to be free, but had a purchase to unlock the rest of the game. This infuriated the crowd.

The new version released comes with a friendly price, only R$ 4,90, and all the game content is available.

In the game, Sonic and his friends face various sports such as Athletics, Diving, Karate, Table Tennis, BMX and many others.

    Angry Birds Adventure

In “soft launch” since January 2021, exactly one year later, Angry Birds Journey is released globally for Android and iOS.

As in old franchise games, Journey has hundreds of levels where the main objective is to destroy the piggies' castles. The novelty here is this animated story with a cute look.

The new game seeks to be an adventure more targeted to children.

The stages are easier and the gameplay is casual to the extreme.

The good part is that at times it is possible to play offline.

Released back in 2016, Crashlands returns with a Plus version for Apple Arcade. This version is exclusive to iPhone and iPad.

It's basically the same game from 2016, but as a differential it's translated into Spanish and has controller support to also work on Apple TV. Of course, it had a visual overhaul as well.

An RPG full of good humor awaits you in this game that mixes adventure and survival. In the shoes of a robot that was transporting material across the galaxy, this character lands on an alien planet.

The best way to describe Crashlands+'s gameplay is by quoting Don't Starve. You need to collect items to survive while developing the story.

Note: It is worth remembering that this game is also available on Google Play Pass on Android.

    Ragnarok: The Lost Memories

Ragnarok: The Lost Memories is a spin-off game of the original Ragnarok. The new game mixes RPG and card game.

It is a gacha game with adventure mode, which has a story and a PvP mode.

The look of this game is pure nostalgia because it directly refers to the PC version from 2002. But at the time of combat, the game becomes a card game. .

Receptions for Lost Memories have been mixed, and with good reason. It is worth remembering that Gravity did not release Ragnarok Origin in Spain. This made the fans a little angry.

But calm down, if you want to play Origin on the US server. Just download the APK. You don't need a VPN to play.

    Deemo 2

No, you are not seeing an animation of e Hayao Miyazaki. Deemo 2 is the long-awaited sequel to a musical adventure produced by the talented Rayark studio. The same for games like Implosion and Cytus.

Echo is a girl who “bloomed” like a flower during a downpour. She and Deemo, the enigmatic guardian of a train station, will travel through an enchanted, rain-soaked world in order to defeat "The Ancestor", the monster that is causing this rain in this somewhat supernatural place.

All of course, washed down with a lot of classical music.

Deemo is free to download and play, but requires internet and some in-app purchases to unlock the full story.

El Hijo - A Wild West Tale

El Hijo, or translated from Spanish, the boy, is a game that addresses themes such as child labor and a mother and a boy trying to survive in a furtive adventure through the wild west.

The game drew a lot of attention for being the winner of the best indie game at GAMESCOM 2019. Given its art direction.

The mobile version was released in January 2022 for Android and iOS.

After the boy's father dies, his mother thinks it's a good idea to take him to a monastery. But instead, children work at risk.

The player controls mother and son at different times in the story. Stealth is the key element of the gameplay and you have to choose dark places and get through without being seen.
