A Dark Dream is a side action game with elements of “Metroidvania”. The game recently arrived on Android as a “demo”, a demo version. Dark Dream is free to download and play and is offline.
According to the developer, the demo is to collect feedback (opinion) from players and that new stages and features will be added soon. When connected to the internet, the game displays ads that, according to the developer, are a way for him to receive a “return” to invest in new content for the game. In other words, this is already the game and more features will be added soon and it will stop being a demo and become a full game.
About the gameplay of Dark Dream, as said, the game is a Metroidvania fun to play. The game draws attention to the quality of the design of the stages. There are no in-app purchases or anything like that. Everything can be collected and unlocked during gameplay. The player explores and as he progresses, he gains new items that change the mechanics of his character's interaction with the world.
The game has a plot a little too complex, for my taste, and also wastes a lot of time with expository dialogues. But it all makes up for it with efficient gameplay and cute pixel art.

The game has levels created from scratch by the developer and he wants to keep it that way. It looks like a very promising game, let's keep an eye on this one to see the final version.
