Released for free on November 10th of this year, Seven Knights 2 is a long-running cinematic RPG from Netmarble for Android and iOS mobile devices. Continuing the original title, released in 2015, the game features a series of characters portrayed with graphics rendered in Unreal Engine 4.

Seven Knights 2 allows players to collect and develop these charismatic heroes while engaging in a deep and immersive story thanks to real-time in-game controls and loadouts, allowing for different combinations of heroes, formations and pets throughout the experience.

Full plate for players familiar with the original title, Seven Knights 2 is also a great starting point for anyone who wants to experience the Netmarble franchise. That's why we've separated 7 essential tips and tricks for beginners. See below:

    1. [Equipment] Make use of weaker equipment

    • Early in the game when it is difficult to acquire Rare or Legendary gear, upgrade and transcend Superior Gear as they can still provide big bonuses to your early game power

    • You can recover a significant part of the items that were used for the upgrade/transcendence by recovering the equipment later, so there is no need to save up at the beginning

    • All heroes must equip at least one piece of Common level equipment to increase the Account's Combat Power, which is the sum of all your heroes' combat power. Huge rewards are provided upon reaching certain Account Combat Power levels

    2. [Equipment] Set effects are important for equipment performance

    • Instead of equipping items with high stat value, it is better to equip items that share the same effects together (they only activate when equipping multiple items with the same effect)

    • It is important to find and equip sets with suitable effects for each hero

    • Set effects are amplified every 2/3/5 set items equipped, so refer to this number when setting up your hero's gear

    • Auto Equip Settings feature helps you conveniently configure a set of items for your hero

    3. [Training] Choose one and go all out

    • Formation upgrades are expensive and therefore you won't be able to upgrade them all at first

    • After completing an initial hero build to use, choose a formation that suits you best and upgrade only that formation at the start of the game

    • Decide if you want to focus on PvE or PvP:

      • If it's PvE, focus on Agile Attack or Critical Formation;

      • If it's PvP, see what favorite PvP heroes you have and choose a formation accordingly.

    4. [Heroes] Roles are more important than Rank

    • Having a solid hero pool consisting of different roles is much more effective than simply having a top-tier hero pool. We recommend you find a good heal/tank/damage mix

    • Your initial objective is to gather heroes and form compositions to clear all Dungeons and Invasions up to a certain difficulty level. To do this, you must strengthen heroes with various types of Resistance to All Status Effects (Ian, Henry, Scott, Guilahan, Adel) and heroes with Suppressing Abilities (Shane, Rudy, Lene)

    • Utilizing various types of Resistance and hero skill resources will also be useful for progressing in the main quest. Especially from “Normal Difficulty” where the unique roles of heroes are significantly more important

      • Chapter 1 – Darkened Spirit: Claire's Superior (Enemy Buff Removal)

      • Chapter 1 – Kecha: Claire's Superior (Enemy Buff Removal) Guilahan (Fire Damage Resistance)

      • Chapter 1 – Kuecha: Guilahan (Burning Resistance)

      • Chapter 2 – Ice Spirit: Adel's Superior (Freeze Resistance), two healers (High Boss Damage)

      • Chapter 2 - Bosses: Adel's Superior (Freeze Resistance)

      • Chapter 3 – Bosses: Superior of Guilahan (Fire Damage Resistance), Common Lene (Suppressing Abilities)

    5. [Heroes] Restarting the game frequently is not recommended

    • Some games suggest multiple campaign resets, where players go through multiple new accounts until they get the hero they want, but we don't advise this in Seven Knights 2. A single reset attempt will take 1h to 1h30

    • Most heroes will be obtained through normal gameplay, and at the 7th daily check-in you will receive a very powerful hero, “Saint of Light Karin”. So we recommend that you start and stay in the game instead of trying to start over.

    6. [Shop] Constantly check the Emporium for offers

    • The Emporium updates every six hours and you can get free maps at each one. Maps are required for Field Exploration, content that allows you to supplement hero/pet growth while farming valuable items.

    • Also check for good deals besides the free maps. High-quality items and Soulstones can also be acquired at set prices, potentially reducing the need to loot for them.
